In the mountains the weather can turn quickly and at the top of this 3k glacier that could become really dangerous. But if you get managed this issue, you have the chance for getting really epic images. I checked the weather maps and saw, that I had a great chance for catching a weather front and so I hiked up the opposite mountain. As I knew, that the clouds and the weather have to be a major part of my composition, I decided for a roughly composition only and waited. The sun illuminated the front clouds lovely, the top rocks of the glacier with a little snow came through the soft clouds and behind this idyllic scene I saw a heavy weather front brewing. Dark clouds appeared, moving over the glacier. I was blown away by the experience of this amazing weather contrast as I pressed the release button. A few minutes later the weather caught me, but I was able to get myself and my equipment to safety in time. |
