I love it, when the trees are wet and mist starts to rise - after the rain. It gets even better, when the sun is shining through the misty air then. The whole landscape is transformed through this nature phenomenon. The three layer triangles fascinated me in this composition. The near layer was totally in the shadow, what ended up in a cold, foggy forest. The middle layer was full with mist, illuminated by the sunlight, what added some warmth to this cold scene. And the distance layer contained the sky only - orange through the setting sun - and warm. I'm so happy, that I got it when the mist in the near layer ended at the house on the cliff. Gustav Klimt painted his famous landscape painting "after the rain" only a few hundret meters away from my camera postion. That I called my photograph "after the rain in the mountains" is a really big random, but I love this additional connection to my far relative. Important Notice: |
