Originally, I had planned to photograph a spectacular weather front, illuminated by the low morning sun. But as the front came already over the night before, I had no idea what I would have to expect that morning. It was amazing how the landscape got continuously transformed through the weather. The water in the foreground is a lake, by the way. Just the wind brought it to float and let it appear like a river.
