After 4 hours of hiking, steep up a mountain, I was happy to recognize, that my weather prediction was right - snow up on the peaks, no snow at the lake, and gappy clouds.

When I arrived at the lake, I realized, that the hill back there always caught the light in a fantastic way. Guided through the light I set up my camera and took this photograph.

This beautiful location in the alps was picked out by my friend Adrian inside a YouTube collaboration. Thank you, therefore, Adrian!
I totally risked, to be honest. I waited day by day because I wasn't happy with the original snow and weather conditions - there was too much snow at the sea level of the lake - through the warm south wind I hoped that it would get melted. 3 days before I went up, there was still too much snow and I also saw on the weather maps, that it would snow again, but a bit higher - above the lake. Dream conditions, but difficult to predict. I also knew, that this was the last possible day of the year to get up there for photography because for the evening there was predicted snow even down to the valley. I risked, but finally, it worked. The light guided me :)
