It was cold out there in winter, snow everywhere. I was out for a photo walk in a winter wonderland and for vlogging about connecting to mother nature. I didn't have any plans for photography, but finally, I spotted this little hut in the field. The scene remembered me quite a bit to the kind of compositions my grandfather decided for some of his paintings. It was not my intention to copy any of his compositions, but now when I look at this photograph, I think anyway, I could be that I got driven a bit through this perception. The weather was overcast, but there always appeared some gaps and I saw the chance to get a fantastic contrast between the hill in the distance and the hut in the shadow. I love this photograph, it tells the story of a hut out in the field, hibernating in the winterly shadow. The sun - representing the summer - is there as well, but doesn't reach the hut.
