In 1966 my grandfather was exactly at that same spot, painting this fantastic scene. The huts changed a tiny bit over time and I had other weather conditions than he back then. I decided not to include the house at the rightern side, as it had made the scene more complicated and due to a shorter focal length I had needed, the huts had got even smaller. To be honest, I thought quite long about if I should offer this image as a print because the base composition was not built up by myself, it was done by my grandfather - who did an amazing job by the way because his composition tells the best story of that place itself. But in the other hand, revisiting the places he painted, trying to get inspired, not with the intention to mess up with his works or trying to be better than he was, but just to understand what he did back then and to appreciate his work as an artist, even adds to his work he achieved 55 years ago. So finally I decided to offer also this one here as a print.
