I'm totally in love with contrasts, as contrasts are even the foundation of each image. But besides luminance and colors there exists this pleasant kind of contrast in stories, as I saw in this scenery. The contrast and even the fight between heavy winter at the leftern side and the last autumn colours at the rightern side. That I decided for this nearly square crop is untypical for my images, as I usually try to bring more tension in, due to a horizontal or vertical orientation. But in this case, there is enough tension created already with the fight between the seasons.
