As I was enjoying a bigger photography road trip the weeks before, I was not to my local woodland at the time when the autumn colors were on point, this year. Maybe this was the reason, why I got attracted by this old, dead tree trunk, covered with fallen autumn leafs and the last patches of autumn colors there and where on the trees. For me it felt a bit like I had missed this autumn and now it is almost over - the blooming end. This composition reflects the emotions I had when I was walking through the cold, wet woodland in the early morning.
