I absolutely adore when artists have this sense of details when they build up their compositions. That's what makes a good painter, a good musican, a good writer, or in Tuscany - a good landscape gardener. To be honest, when I entered that area first, I was unsure about how to use the light to my advantage. But in the end, I managed to get this fantastic balance between that warmth in the foreground meadow, repeated back to some parts of the midground and the shadow side of the hill, which leads to a nice plasticity in this scene. And also those frantic node of cypresses in the s-curve within that accurate order of all the other elements in this scene leads to this fantastic story contrast I absolutely love.
